Friday Competitions Remain a Favorite for Keiser University College of Golf Students
Keiser University College of Golf Professor Frank Longabucco continued to spice up the summer golf curriculum with a Friday afternoon “Two Best-balls of Four Net” competition for students and PGA staff members at the PGA National Resort & Spa golf courses. The friendly oppositions among students and staff are popular and produce both fun and a way to experience the pressures of rivalry.
Prizes were awarded to student winners Hong Seok Im, Nick Wells, and Willie Scott with an impressive score of 10-under par 134, and donations were collected to support Cystic Fibrosis.
Professor Frank Longabucco explained “The tournaments provide students an opportunity to play competitively while preparing them for their PGA Playing Ability Test. Also, PGA Professionals can help students with their golf course management skills and mental games. Finally, the events are fun!”
These events will continue in both the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Keiser University Seahawk National Collegiate Club Golf Association’s (NCCGA) Golf Club Team recently finished second in the Florida Regional Golf Tournament #1 held at Woodlands Country Club in Tamarac, Florida.

The Seahawks trailed by 15 shots after day one; a spirited comeback then gained six strokes on the University of Central Florida on day two, but still fell nine shots short at the end. Seahawk Christopher Tosonotti fired consecutive rounds of 75-75 = 150 to capture individual third place honors.
