College of Golf Residency Tournament
Keiser University’s College of Golf recently hosted a residency tournament at Okeeheelee Golf Course in West Palm Beach for both its students and PGA Professionals.
Student Hunter McFerran managed the event from conception to completion. Its format was a 1 best ball of 4 net.
The group held an 80-foot lag putt challenge in the beginning, and Christopher Yeager took home the prize, rolling his ball to five inches. On hole 11, a closest to pin challenge was held, and the winner, at 10 feet and 1 inch, was Luis Fontanez. With six teams total, the final scores were only six strokes apart. The runners-up had a blind draw for their fourth player. With a net score of 62 were Adam Hall, Mark Simon, and Travis Barbee. Brian Hughes, John Morse, Denny Velez, and Jonathan Melles were the overall winners of the tournament with a net score of 58.
Keiser’s College of Golf thanks everyone who participated in the event, as well as the Okeeheelee Golf Course staff members and volunteers.
