Keiser University College of Golf Director Attends
PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit
Dr. Eric Wilson, Executive Director of Golf Operations at Keiser University’s College of Golf and a PGA Legacy Master Professional recently enjoyed attending the 16th PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
With the theme of ‘Mind, Body, and Heart – The Essence of Coaching’ the conference embraced the PGA professional tradition of educating others and sharing knowledge. With more than 700 PGA members from across the globe in attendance, leaders unveiled a new format to provide additional options to support learning endeavors, as morning sessions offered large group presentations while afternoon breakout sessions covered topics such as Teacher Effectiveness, Player Performance, Teaching with Technology, On Course Coaching, The Business of Coaching, and more, including a popular presentation from Keiser University College of Golf partner Bobby Clampett of Impact Zone Golf.
Since 1988, the event has welcomed premiere instructors in an effort to increase their knowledge of the golf swing, learn more about key technology outside the lesson tee, and share best practices with their colleagues. In addition to Clampett, presenters included touring professionals Hal Sutton and Brad Faxon, Vision 54 Founders Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson, and noted PGA and LPGA teachers Lou Guzzi, Dana Rader, Will Robbins, Todd Sones, Joe Assell, Tom Henderson, Martin Chuck, Jeff Ritter, Jerry Haas, Ted Kiegiel, Mike Shannon, and Trillium Rose.
