Can Golf Clubs Be Recycled?

Golf clubs can be recycled. Local scrap processing companies will send them to mills to be melted down and turned into something new (sometimes new golf clubs)! Other options are to donate the clubs to local junior and veterans’ programs or use them as garden stakes, lawn decoration or artwork. Recycling is the best way to save energy.

What Club Should I Use for What Distance?

It depends! Countless variables may affect what club you use for what distance. For the average amateur, take one more club than you think is needed.  If you maintain ideal statistics while tracking distances after using each club, you may find the majority of your shots are short and right.

Swing your irons at about 80% of power. This will help control distance and direction. By taking one more club, you may not feel the urgency to swing hard. Of course, this question has so many variables and other considerations that making a blanket statement is unrealistic. This is only a rule of thumb for the average golfer.

  1. I am using my old clubs to practice changing shafts and grips. Utilizing different shafts flex will help determine different ball flights and ultimately which is the best combination for me.
Thanx for your help Mr Longabucco.
