Keiser University College of Golf Hosts Merritt Island High School Boy’s Golf Team
Keiser University’s College of Golf recently hosted the Merritt Island High School Boy’s Golf Team for a training session in preparation for the upcoming season.
The session began with an overview of proper grip, aim, and setup, provided by John Callahan, a Keiser University professor and a PGA and Golf Magazine Top 100 Adjunct Teacher, as well as a lesson regarding the importance of properly preparing for each full swing motion. Live golf swing evaluations of each player were then conducted using V-1 Computer video analysis and Trackman/Foresight launch monitoring equipment by professors Callahan and David Wixson, a PGA Master Professional as well as Frank Longabucco and Ken Martin, both PGA Professionals Certified in Instruction. Art Friedman, the Merritt Island High School Golf Team coach observed and took player recommendation notes as team members were further introduced to unique ‘putting games’ they could use in individual and team training sessions.
The clinics are a continuing effort to provide training to local high school golf teams using the Keiser University College of Golf Indoor and Outdoor Training Facilities at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus.
