Mr. William (Bill) Hannigan who is the Physical Health & Wellness Specialist and Coordinator for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) visited Keiser University College of Golf and Sport Management along with his Service Dog ‘Pepa’. Mr. Hannigan and ‘Pepa’ toured the campus and visited with some of the COG students and faculty and staff. Keiser University and Wounded Warriors are working together to develop a new pilot program to introduce WWP Veterans to the game of golf. The College of Golf students will volunteer their time and service to offer hands-on instruction, education, and playing lessons to the WWP Veterans.

We will also explore opportunities to provide some adaptive golf lessons for interested WWP Veterans. We are extremely excited to partner with the Wounded Warriors Project once again and have an opportunity to give back to our Veterans and expose them to the wonderful game of golf.  We discussed how golf can serve them in so many ways as they transition back into their communities and day to day lives.
