Keiser University’s Kris Swogger Named Florida Sun Conference Athletic Director of the Year

West Palm Beach, Florida – June, 2017 The Sun Conference announced that Keiser University Director of Athletics Kris Swogger has been recognized by his peers as the 2017 Athletic Director of the Year. This marks the first time a Keiser University Athletic Director has received the award.

“We have a very strong conference and it is a great honor to be recognized by my peers as the AD of the Year,” shared Swogger. “This truly is a department award since all of our success is based on the great students, coaches, and staff members at Keiser University”.

The Seahawks won four regular season conference championships and three tournament championships. 12 teams appeared in the NAIA National tournament while four individuals claimed national championships (Lukas Macek x2 and Thobias Montler x2).

Keiser claimed their second straight TSC Commissioner Cup and finished third in the Learfield Standings.

Off the field, Keiser had 36 Academic All-Conference players, 27 Academic All-Americans, and 11 Scholar teams.

Swogger is in his first year as Director of Athletics at Keiser University, as he previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director for the Seahawks. In addition to his AD role at Keiser University, Kris also serves on the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship planning and ticket committee (2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017); the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship planning committee (2016, 2017) and is an active member of NACDA.
