Keiser University College of Golf Hosts Clinic for Local High School Students August 17th

Eleven members of John Carroll High School’s Golf Team were hosted by Keiser University College of Golf for a training session on Friday afternoon. PGA Master Professional David Wixson, PGA Professional Certified in Instruction and Golf Operations Frank Longabucco, and PGA Professional and Golf Magazine Top 100 Adjunct Instructor John Callahan provided training and instruction to each golfer.

The Team members had their golf swings recorded and analyzed on the V-1 Computer Analysis System by Mr. Callahan and received tips on how to improve their ball striking. Mr. Longabucco provided hands-on instruction in the fine art of chipping from around the green with clubs of various lofts. Mr. Wixson demonstrated the Motion Analysis Technology by Taylor Made (MATT) system, had the players hit balls, and compared their swings to top players on the PGA Tour using the virtual environment of the MATT system. Mr. Glen Rains, John Carroll High School’s Golf Coach, arranged the field trip and was most complimentary of the training and experience his players received at the College of Golf.
