Keiser University College of Golf Holds Open House

Keiser University College of Golf held an Open House on Saturday, March 17th, from 9am until 2pm to showcase its 35,000 square foot facility and Golf Management programs to the public. Guests were provided a continental breakfast and the opportunity to take golf lessons from PGA Professionals on the full swing, short game, and putting. Attendees, including Michael Murphy, co-host of the WSTU Thursday night “Golf Talk Live” radio show, received instruction using the V-1 computer video analysis system, the TOMI putter analysis system, the Taylor Made Motion Analysis Technology System, and the Full Swing Golf Simulator. Additional training was conducted on the 1,500 square foot undulating Southwest Greens indoor putting green. PGA Master Professionals Dr. Eric Wilson and Brian Hughes were available for question and answer sessions, and the Open House concluded with a lunch of subway sandwiches and drinks.

Dr. Eric Wilson, Executive Director of Golf Operations and PGA Master Professional, explains that “Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Golf Management prepares students for a variety of positions in the golf industry. In this program, students are prepared to provide golf instruction, manage golf course operations, ensure appropriate maintenance of golf facilities and equipment, as well as integrate the play of golf into the broader hospitality and

recreation domains.” Students also receive access to the highly acclaimed PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance where they can practice on a 35-acre lighted practice range with short game areas, a bunker facility and extensive putting greens.
