Student Veterans of America

Mr. John McMurry, Keiser University College of Golf Vice President, hosted the first exploratory meeting of the College of Golf Student Veterans Association on Friday. Joe Reilly, College of Golf Student Veterans Association Liaison and Dr. Eric Wilson, College of Golf Executive Director of Golf Operations and Student Veterans Association Advisor, met with four student veterans to discuss how best to establish the association and set goals for veteran support throughout the college. Veterans Shawn Augustson, Jerrold Ellstrom, Duane Quick, and Nick Vanoverbeke were the initial cadre of students who attended the meeting and discussed ways to increase participation, serve the community, and develop goals for the association. The first official meeting of the Student Veterans Association will be held within the next two weeks, and officers will be elected at that time.

Jason Loomis became the sixth Keiser University College of Golf student to achieve Impact Zone Golf Player Certification. Jason participated in over five hours of Impact Zone Golf instruction with Dr. Eric Wilson, Executive Director of Golf Operations for The College of Golf and an Impact Zone Golf Master Instructor, then passed a 50 question test to gain Player Certification. Congratulations to Jason!
